Yellow Rose

This is the most popular among friendship flowers and is the official flower of friendship day. Thus, one can find flower shops filled with it every year on friendship day. It signifies friendship, joy and delight. This flower was discovered in the 18th century in the Middle East. Earlier, it denoted negative feelings like jealousy but as time went on, its meaning changed to joy and friendship. A person can either give his or her friend a single rose or a bouquet with a baby's breath to signify the importance of friendship. 


Daffodil

The daffodil is said to be a symbol of true friendship, chivalry, hope, new beginnings and rebirth. This flower is also known as narcissus, which is its Latin name. It is a trumpet-shaped flower with a ring of petals around it. This flower is quite popular due to its beauty. The daffodil is commonly available in yellow or golden color but it can also be found in other colors like pink, red and white. 

Iris

In the language of flowers, the Iris means "your friendship means a lot to me". Besides this, the flower denotes hope, wisdom and valor. It is available in a wide array of colors but is commonly found in blue and purple. 

Peruvian Lily

The Peruvian lily, or lily of the Incas, denotes friendship and devotion. The flower also denotes a person's love and support for his or her friend. It shows that the sender will always be there for the recipient. Thus, it is good choice for friend's birthday and graduation. Besides, it has a long vase life and so, is quite suitable for sending to someone.

Chrysanthemum

This flower is also a symbol of friendship especially in Japanese culture. In Japan, this flower is used to denote the value of friendship and is often exchanged between friends. Moreover, it is commonly used in bouquets these days as it is quite a beautiful flower. The flower can be found in various styles and colors. Common colors of this flower include yellow and white but red and pink flowers are also available.
